Good, not great. Dont get me wrong I love a good burger but I dont get the whole burger thing happening across the area. I cook them better at home on the grill.

I give it 5 stars just for the incredible milkshake I had, substituted captain for bourbon to go along with vanilla ice cream, sea salt & caramel it was outstanding! We tried there angus beef pieroges they were good, not great a little bland could use some spices. My burger was very good, not great but it was different which I like...hey I make a great burger at home, I want something different when I go out and I had the one with braised pork, onion rings & white cheddar it was unique and I liked it. We also shared some mac & cheese which worked as well. Great staff, will definitely be going back soon

This restaurant is an inconsistent mixture of awesome and mediocrity. We are vegetarian and found a number of options on the menu. Even though the restaurant makes no mistake that you come there for the beef, they had veggie burgers and a number of vegetarian appetizers for the non-carnivore. The cocktail menu was very inventive, and they also had a nice selection of beers. Their famous home-made ice-cream could be found in a number of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The atmosphere is a mix of trendy and casual, something that you don't often find in Cranberry. I was glad this restaurant decided to move up north. We really need more options that caters to a younger crowd. However, the food didn't always live up to the promise. The veggie burger was mediocre. But, OK - the restaurant is geared towards the meat eater. However, the toppings were in extremely low quantities, such that it was almost impossible to taste them with the thick bun and the large veggie burger. They could have at least tripled the quantities and it would not have been overdone. I can't imagine the meat eater could taste the toppings either, with that much beef on the bun. The cole-slaw appetizer was particularly nice. And, the Bloody Mary with the horseradish stuffed olives was also a pleasant surprise. However, the Pomagranite Spritzer was a little sweet and very flat, tasting slightly like watermelon. Another inconsistency was the wait staff. The hostess was extremely helpful and friendly. However, our waiter gave mixed up who the drinks went to and later mixed up who the food went to. He also forgot to bring out the appetizer we ordered. And, asked if we wanted desert before we finished our meal. I'll try them again after they've been open a while longer. That will give the wait staff a little longer to get up to speed, and hopefully - please - with perhaps a few more consistent reviews - they will put more toppings on their burgers.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner after work and I was not impressed. The atmosphere was pretty cool and the waitstaff was friendly, but the food was so-so. I ordered a custom burger (Angus beef, blue cheese, bacon; cooked medium well) and my wife had the standard cheese burger and a chocolate shake. I was a bit disappointed that the only side I got with my burger was a pickle spear, and the burger itself, while juicy, completely lacked flavor. My wife had similar complaints, although I must say she really enjoyed the chocolate milkshake. The bill was like $40 (for 2 burgers and a shake!) IMO not worth the price, and I don't think we will be back unless I get a seriously good coupon.

amazing atmosphere and "cool" for a suburb place but still feel comfortable taking my baby. nice wine selection, the food is incredible, and I love the truffle whiz dipping sauce. I recommend the maui wowie too!

We ate at the bar and the burgers were good. My wife got the plain joe and said it was average (not sure what she expected for a plain burger). I got the shrooms and it was good. Fries didn't come with it and as mentioned earlier, did remind me of Burger King fries. Service was fast and good and no complaints. Overall, we will be back again.

Although the food is good, we were surrounded by fruit flies our entire meal. We were told by management that the building was infested when purchased due to leaking soda lines in the walls from the previous owners and they are trying to get the problem under control. We have been back and are pleased with the improvements.

Stumbled upon this place Saturday afternoon and was fairly impressed. The atmosphere is open and contemporary. The bar is large with upward of 15 solid beers on tap. We ordered the shrimp and pork meatballs as an appetizer and they were well presented...my husband said delish and even ordered a side of the sauce they were in for his burger. I ordered the California lovin turkey burger and it was good. The bun was bakery fresh. The wine list is a good one for a burger joint! Everything is reasonably priced and quite flavorful...we will definitely go back.

Great food, but prices are a little steep. The atmosphere and wait staff are nice. Save yourself the money and go to Red Robin.

The fries!!!!! My god they are divine! Crunchy and crisp all the way through not even a little burnt. The best fries I have had in a really long time! Our server was super friendly and quick with our food and refills. My mahi burger was good, but I couldn't stop eating the fries! They were fantastic! Hubby really enjoyed the brgr burger. Everything was perfectly cooked and very good. A nice warm environment, and it gets packed after church on Sundays. I love the firepit and think this would be a nice place to hang with friends for drinks and appetizers. We will go back for sure!

If you are a burger restaurant you should know how to cook a burger to medium...not the bloody version I was served. Send it back and instead of a fresh burger I get the one I sent back? Really?! It was flavorful but.... Good house fries with parmesan and herbs. Nice craft beer selection on tap although surprised there are not more local brews.

Very very good burgers. I am an out of towner and was looking for places to eat on my way to Johnstown. Delicious!! I got the bison burger. Mmm as well as the appetizer "chachos." Good service too. Love the modern look.

Stopped in on our way through town and sat at the bar. Fantastic draft and bottled beer selection and great burgers, salads and apps. Wish we were here for the happy hour the specials looked amazing.

My mother, daughter and I weren't in again. What a wonderful meal we had.My daughter had the chili&Fritos,peppers...etc (spicy) burger. My mother had the Average joe. They both shared the parmesan fries with truffle cheese dipping sauce. And,I decided on the chix Caesar salad. We all three thought our meals were absolutely excellent.Unfortunately we did not save any room for dessert or an old fashion hand spun Milkshake. Thanks BRGR!!! We will most definitely be back again real soon.

My son has raved of this Gourmet Burger place that recently opened in Cranberry. I had a chance to stop for lunch. This place opens to patio seating and also has a large dinning area with plenty of TVs throughout. Bar setting and comfy decor. I had the "Shroom" Burger with a side of fries. Large, tasty burger cooked as I ordered. The fries were a perfect addition and maybe the best I've had in a long while! This place may be a bit pricey but I will go back to try another of the interesting menu items! If you you like your burgers plain, you got it, or they will make them for you anyway you like!

My brother told me about this place. He had been to the downtown location and was pleased when one opened in Cranberry. We had lunch there during one of my visits to PA. There are a lot of choices. This isn't a typical burger place. We split the grilled cheese appetizer (good) and I was pleased with my turkey burger. This is a good addition to the local restaurant scene.

I have been waiting to try the location in Cranberry since I saw the construction going on. I got the chance to try it last night and was pleasantly surprised by this new burger joint. I had a Kobe burger and it was my first venture into Kobe, let me say I was more than impressed! I was also quite excited with the new seating method, the hostess takes our name and phone number on her iPad and texted me when my table was ready, that way I could walk around the plaza outside and enjoy the nice evening without worry of venturing too far! The wait staff was very nice, frequent to the table, and made sure everything was replenished within a minute of my drink running low. All in all it is a definite new place at which I will be frequenting especially for the price, its a very nice addition to choices around the Cranberry area, and I must say worthy enough to take precedent between a choice office guys or here.

I come here often and not only for the food. The decor is excellent and the staff (when it's the A-team) is excellent. A great selection of beers and a small but customizable burger menu make this place worth coming to again and again. Not only that but they have a selection of alcoholic milk shakes that are a must try (I'm partial to the Salty Caramel). As of this writing, there is a 15% discount of those with a ticket stub from the Movie Theater next door. So either stop in before the movie and get something to eat or come by after and drink something at the bar. Prices are reasonable so there is no excuse to go to Burger King or McDonalds when this place exists.

BRGR has stopped using Dave & Andy's ice cream (even though they still claim to do so on their website). What a shame as it is by far the best ice cream in the city. The milkshakes don't compare to what they used to be, and it's frankly a major disappointment. Just another example of a corporation quietly serving their customer a lesser product without any price reduction. Shame on you, BRGR!

Lame! Asked for a sample taste of a beer after my wife and I had four $9 martinis and was told they couldn't give a sample because the beer was so expensive. Are you kidding me? I just wanted a sip to see if I wanted one. No thanks. I'll go somewhere else next time. Menu is limited and lame as well. Crack dip is only thing going for this place.

  • Juice M.

We ate there a while back and will never gone again. Bought the Kobe beef burgers and they were dry. To top it off, our buns were stale!! GROSS! We were not told we were going to be charged separately for fries with our burgers and that is probably because our server had her kid running around at the table behind us. Which caused us to be there way too long. Bad first experience and would not waste your time.

  • J D.

This place is great and I definitely prefer it over Burgatory. They have a variety of beers on tap and they have a great space - Bar Louie used to be there. I ordered the trio of sliders for my meal and was pleased with all of them! The house made chips with crack dip were also good. I will definitely go back to try more of what's on the menu.

This place gets 5 stars because I ate the best burger of my life here! We were in town for a Christmas party and I had always wanted to try BRGR but never got a chance before I moved from Pittsburgh to Harrisburg. My fiance and I both got the kobe burger (make-your-own) on the Challah bun and they were TO DIE FOR. Thick, juicy, cooked to perfection amazing! We also got the french fries with the truffle oil cheese dipping sauce and they were delicious. Perfect - everything was perfect!! We didn't try any of the signature milkshakes but they looked amazing...will definitely we getting one of those next time! On an unrelated-to-food note, the atmosphere is very chill. It's a high-class burger joint with delicious food and friendly staff.

Ok, now this is a burger!! I have been here a number of times now, and I have had no need to advance beyond the Average Joe. That is a plain old fashioned hamburger. An old, purist gentleman I used to know often railed against the idea of "Vodka Martinis". "A martini is gin and vermouth, nothing else!! If it's made with vodka, it's something else, it's not martini!!", he'd say. I'm that way with burgers. Beef pattie, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion if you must, and jalapenos is a hamburger. Now, the blend of different beef cuts makes BRGR's patties absolutely delicious. And I absolutely love the fact that I can get mine cooked medium rare and that they season it while cooking. Not like 5G's where they cook it to death with not a hint of salt or pepper. What, is Michael Bloomberg a major investor there? But I digress. I love my burger juicy, even greasy and hard to pick up and eat. That is BRGR's burger to a T. The fixings are fresh, and the orders of fries, O-rings, and Tater Tots (yes!!!) are huge. We'll be back there at least once a week, and I'll just double my dosage of Lipitor.

One of my worst lunches. The spiked shakes all sound delicious so we ordered 2 of them. Although they were totally different, they both tasted almost exactly the same. Pretty much just like vanilla ice-cream with hints of alcohol. Tastes that do not flatter each other. Our burgers were so-so, a small amount of cheese (not even a slice) was $1 extra, and it came in metal basket that was the height of the burger. Hi, I'd like a flat plate please. I think I'll just stick to Five Guys...

    (1)
  • Lo S.

Everything was extremely greasy, the burger was half fat, half meat. You could see the fat chunks in the burger as you ate it. I won't return there for a burger, the bar area seemed nice.

OK so I don't eat beef, so maybe this review won't do you justice. But I did have the vegetarian burger; so this review is for all the veg-heads out there. Do not come here!! The veg burger was dry and horrible plus it's was too expensive! You are going to charge me $8 for a VEGETARIAN sandwich AND no fries! Methinks not! I mean absolutely no taste whatsoever. If you are going to even put this on your menu, why, why!?! Please remove it! I also ordered their sangria which tasted like watered down wine with spritzer, double negative. DH ordered lamb burger ($14, without a side) which he said was OK. He's definitely had better. I would have to say their fries are really good, and the fact that I'm a fry connoisseur that says a lot. However, I'm annoyed that I have to pay extra for something that seems integral to the burger experience, which is why I won't be back.

Met my husband there Friday night for happy hour. Except for the fact that it's in Cranberry, and I was leaving from the city AT rush hour so it took FOREVER to get there (not BRGR's fault of course), I was very very happy with my burger. My husband ordered it for me while I was still on the road., and it seemed like the food came out fast because I got a "food's here" text before I even got to the restaurant. I hadn't been to the BRGR in Shadyside/East Liberty for a few months, so maybe that one has changed their options too, but I was especially excited to see that you can create your own burger. This is especially great, since right now I'm on a barbeque sauce/bacon/cheddar/onion straw kick, and that combo isn't offered in their pre-made burger menu. But my husband ordered it for me, and it was fantastic. BRGR in Shadyside is one of my favorite restaurants and I'm very happy for burger lovers living in Cranberry that they now get to experience the amazing-ness of this fine establishment.

In a word disappointing. 4 of us dined at BRGR Cranberry last Saturday. As mentioned in another post, the interior is the same as Bar Louie. Unfortunately I think the restaurant will suffer the same fate as the predecessor restaurant if it doesn't get it's act together. The restaurant was 1/2 full on Saturday at 7PM. Not a great sign Even so we were told it was a 1/2 hour wait . OK so maybe they were short of servers or kitchen help. It is a new operation at this location so we were prepared to cut them some slack. We were seated in 45 minutes after we went to the hostess to inquire about a table. When I asked about the delay when the restaurant was 1/2 full I was told that this was not a McDonald's and their burghers require much more time to assemble. Oh and if I didn't want to wait at the bar I could have gone to Walmart and they would have texted us. Nice attitude. The manager did visit us 1/2 way through the meal. He explained that he had been a manager of several big name restaurants and that none of their first few months went smoothly. No apology. No please try us again. Simply, Gee guys you should have known better than to go to a restaurant in it's first couple months. True that. Be forewarned.

The burger I had was pretty good. The meat was not dry, which is always a plus. I was not big on their Cole slaw. Definitely not a typical Cole slaw, more like a slaw salad. Tasted awful.

  • Umar A.

Great service and solid burgers. I had the Maui wowie twice in 4 weeks and enjoyed it each time. The overall layout of the place is a bit odd with a massive bar, but everything else seemed to flow. Definitely a recommended spot in Cranberry Township.

Great burger and a delicious gluten free bun. Still can't figure out why they charge more money for this. Great service and the kids enjoyed the dessert in a cup.

The big attraction is the menu. They didn't blow the budget on the on the decor but the food flavors and hand spun spiked shakes certainly makes up for that. My servers name was Jessica and she was 5 star. She knew the menu inside out and took the time to share that information. I had the Toasted Almond spiked Shake and the Bahn Mi Dog. They went well together. The Bahn Mi Dog is a must try. The many different flavors where like a symphony being played on my taste buds.

I JUST had lunch here with my mom, and the food was incredible. We were actually pretty disgruntled at first because we waited for a good 40 minutes or so, but the grub was so good that we were cool with it in the end. We ordered Grilled Cheese "Bites", a Shrooms Burger, Housemade Cole Slaw, BRGR Fries, and shared everything. Let's start from the top! The "bites" were made with provolone, bacon, tomatoes, pickles, and truffle aioli. They were served on grilled texas toast and came with tomato fondue (think marinara sauce). They were absolutely delish, and although they were listed as apps, they're entree-sized for sure. The burger - made of sirloin, chuck, rib eye, and strip - was on point! Toppings were as follow: forest mushrooms, caramelized onions, brie, and mustard aioli. Hands down, the best burger I've ever had. I'll definitely be back to try, um, ALL of them stat, ha! Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you guys about the sides. If you're a fan of cole slaw, you'll freakin' love theirs. I know I just told y'all that I had the best burger here, but seriously, their cole slaw was also the best I've ever tasted. It was vinegar based (no mayo) and topped with apples, raisins, and almond - all sorts of magical deliciousness. Fries were perfectly cooked - not greasy at all, and the parmesan and herb toppings were such a good call. I can't believe I waited this long to try this joint! If you live in cranberry and have yet to try BRGR, you're missing out. Head over there ASAP - you and your food coma will thank me!

I would love to give them a 5 star review if it weren't for my constant frustration with their host and waitstaff. There are certainly pros to the NoWait app but when you show up as a party of two and there are a dozen open tables it gets frustrating. I don't mind waiting for a table, just needlessly waiting. As for the food, I've always had a good meal here and it's one of the better burgers in town. Mostly in my opinion due to their melt-in-your-mouth buns. I also always order the "Fire in the Hole" burger and tend to get their fried pickles. Although there fries are very good as well. When we save room, I'm fond of their Dark Chocolate shake.

  • John M.

My family and I have been to BRGR several times and enjoy their burgers, fries, tater tots, and great choice of draft beer. My son loves the "Cease & Desist" burger, I like the basic bacon burger, as does my wife. Fried pickle appetizer is very good. Nice batter, and tangy flavor of the pickle. Only suggestions are to have paper napkins instead of cloth, as my hands get pretty juicy from my "medium" cooked burger, and when I try to wipe them on the cloth napkins, the napkins don't get the job done.

Went here at 9 pm on Sunday the kitchen was closed. Bar is open until 10. Kinda stupid for a burger place to stop serving burgers at 9 when open until 10. Either close at 9 or serve food until 10.

It's hard not to compare BRGR to other burger places in the burgh because well... It's a burger place. And, although good, it's not near the top of the list of my favorite burger joints. The ambiance in this particular location is pretty. On this outing, we asked to be seated in the covered outdoor area as it was a beautiful day. It was 3:30 on a Sunday and there were only a few other people dining. Our waitress took a while to get to get to us and was unable to answer questions about drinks on the menu that said "ask your server for details". So there's that. I ordered the grilled cheese bites and built my own burger with bahn mi style toppings (chipotle mayo, cucumber slaw, jalapeño and cilantro). The grilled cheese bites were really yummy. The flavors of my burger were good as well, but it was ridiculously over-done. If you're a burger place, charging $10 for a burger, you should know how to cook a burger to "medium". A food runner delivered our food to the table and our waitress never came to check how things were. The entire time we were eating, I saw her by the bar talking to a woman. We were completely finished with our food by the time she walked over and said "sorry- that lady was a talker." Ha. Ha. Overall, this place is good if you're hungry for a burger and you're stuck out in Cranberry where the chain restaurants span as far as the eye can see.

Sat on the patio on a rainy Saturday afternoon for lunch. Came back 3 weeks later on a busy Friday evening for dinner. Place was pretty busy both times. The whole staff was great and actually gave a crap. Thanks. Ambiance is nice, the place is well laid-out, CLEAN, and flows nicely. Appetizers are kind of fussy ... they really are ... sorry. I enjoyed the grilled cheese thing, that was surprisingly good (for a glorified grilled cheez sandwich!) Fries come in absurd quantity. Kid's meals are also rather surprisingly large, could easily split an order of mac&cheez betwixt 3 tiny humans. Burger is what we came for and the burgers were excellent. Curtze meat from Erie is an excellent choice (which begs the question: WHY doesn't friggin' Erie have a burger joint worth a d@mn??) and was cooked to order. If I had a complaint it was the bun. Both times the bun was for crap. Seriously BRGR, I hate your buns. Mine was dry and bready. Was it stale? Was is supposed to have a day-old mouthfeel to it? Solid choice. Drop in, you'll be pleased.

When compared to the "other" local specialty burger place, BRGR rules! The selections are better. The service is better and the sides are great. The tots are my favorite. If you are looking for the best burger, this is the answer.

composite review. Located in the shopping center, easy access from the street, shops nearby, easy parking. Food and service and fine; The specialty in Burger's make them a nice place for that food item. Some outside seating is available when the weather makes that a comfortable experience. Moderate prices. Oh so much better that the cookie cutter fast food places! f8 and be there.

I ordered the Shiso cocktail, the Santa Fe Hippie burger, and cajun tater-tots with truffle oil cheese dipping sauce. The Shiso Cocktail had a list of ingredients a mile long, but really, it just tasted like a margarita with jalapeno. It wasn't bad, except I was expecting something a little more unique for the price. The Santa Fe Hippie burger and the cajun tater-tots were both so salty, I could barely eat them. I was hungry, though, so I powered through half the burger and half the tater-tots and sucked down about 8 glasses of water before the salt became intolerable. And I normally love me some sodium. Someone else at my table ordered the cajun tots and also couldn't eat them because they were so salty. My server was awesome. Very friendly and personable, and he was always coming round topping off my water, which is great. Otherwise I might have dried out on the spot. He is the sole reason for the second star.

After many years of saying that I would try BRGR and frequently dining at their competitor Burgatory, I finally tried BRGR last night for a coworker's happy hour. I really like the restaurant environment with its trendy and modern dimly-lit bar-like vibe. I also thought our waitress was fantastic. She did a good job of checking by frequently without being overbearing. She also let us hog a large table for 8-10 people from 5-8pm. When we left, I saw a number of people crowded at the door, waiting to be seated. I felt badly thinking of all the tips she could have earned on their dinners vs. our small drink and appetizer checks. I tried two cocktails - the Common Grounds and A Bicycle Built for Two. When I ordered the Common Grounds, I was expecting a heavy coffee and chocolate drink served in a martini glass. However, it was actually a large glass of iced coffee with a little vodka and amaretto thrown in. It wasn't a terrible drink, but I was disappointed that it wasn't what I expected. As a Wigle Whiskey fan, I had to order A Bicycle Built for Two. I fell in love with this drink! Our waitress even told me that the bar manager (who was making them that evening) had competed in a Wigle competition and won with the cocktail. It was the perfect combination of sweet and strong. If I didn't have to drive 30 miles to get home, I could've easily consumed another one or two of them. I didn't personally order any food but tried a couple Cajun Tater Tots with Truffle Cheese Whiz. The tater tots were extremely salty, and I really only liked the cheese sauce on the tots because it helped mask the saltiness. After trying this appetizer, I didn't feel motivated enough to order anything for myself. Overall, I had a fun time with friends and definitely need to give BRGR a second try before I truly determine how good or bad the food is here.

Wow! I am very impressed to find a place of this caliber in this location. A nondescript, unassuming placement in a strip mall of all things. For starters, the servers are very prompt, friendly, and stay on top of things. You won't be waiting long for anything during your visit. There's a wide interesting selection of cocktails and beer, the drinker should be pleased. I ordered a bison burger, and paired it with their unique delicious take on cole slaw. The burger was magnificent, dripping with fresh flavor and seasoned just right! The cole slaw was no slouch, featuring apples, golden raisins, and vinegar. I feel so lucky that I found this place, can't wait to come back someday!

I love their handcrafted milkshakes/spiked milkshakes. I've tried the cupcake (I'm assuming each day is different), salty caramel, smores and their seasonal pumpkin shake (I did not like the pumpkin as much, and I don't know how a milkshake or pumpkin anything can go wrong). My fave is the smores. They have a lot of other drinks as well and lots of beer on tap. I've tried everything on the appetizer except for the greek dip. My fave is the grilled cheese bites. I can eat that as my entree (so I have room for my shake. Haha) I like the maui wowie, double yoi and fire in the hole. My husband likes the button buster. It is pretty good. Like I mentioned on my other review, they give you a discount on food (10 or 15%?) when you present your cranberry cinema movie tickets. You can choose to use that or the happy hr deal if you're there during happy hr. This is a great place to meet up with friends as the bar is huge and central. You can have a birthday or a big family/friends dinner at the back corner where the area is raised and seems sort of sectioned off. I like how the booths are semi-circle so there's more space than a regular booth and round tables I feel are better for conversation. I also like the outdoor area. I do wish that BRGR would give you the extra tin of milkshakes like what they do at Burgatory.

We were greeted by the hostess upon arriving however she did not look like she wanted to be there at all and she sounded less enthusiastic. It took a few minutes for our waitress to come and get our drink orders and we were ready with our food orders as well. She was prompt and nice the rest of our visit. As for the food, yummy! I ordered what amounts to their California turkey burger I just changed out the turkey for beef as I was hungry for a burger. So, on the burger I got provolone cheese, alfalfa sprouts, roasted red peppers, and an aioli, and avocado. I did order it on a wheat bun but got a regular one but whatever it was still good. I ordered the burger med rare and that's what I got. It was cooked to perfection. It was juicy and wonderful. I got brgr fries as well and they were awesome. The hubby got the double yoi and enjoyed it immensely. The food is terrific...burgers are amazing. The only thing that would have been nice would have been an acknowledgement when we were leaving from the same hostess...goodbye and come again. Otherwise it was a wonderful dining experience.

Went there for dinner today and was very pleased. Started off with a cherry soda, have had a cherry pop in years, very refreshing! Got the double yoi. I loved it! My husband got the average Joe or something and we shared garlic parmesan fries. Also very good. Just as pricey as the other burger restaurants but I think better tasting.

This place was delicious! A good stop in Cranberry Township for a cold beer and good burger. I definitely recommend BRGR.

I have to start out by saying that I don't eat meat, so this probably isn't the restaurant for me in general. That being said, their salad (the one with asparagus, I can't remember what it was called) was really good and the frites are always amazing. I don't really know about the burger, but they do a good job of having vegetarian options for a place that is centered on burgers.

Had the bison burger and the salty carmel shake. My girlfriend got the shrimp lettuce wrap and the s'mores shake. I must say the bison burger was the best burger I have eaten in a while! Never had bison before and it was definitely worth the try. The s'mores shake was spiked with marshmallow vodka and was amazing! Great place to get a great burger. Little pricey on the drinks but overall it was great!

My son and I were Christmas Shopping and decided to stop here to get a bit to eat. There was about a half hour wait to get a table. So they ask for your cell phone number and text you when your table is ready. Great idea. Why don't all restaurants do this? When you give them your number, they send you a conformation text with a link to a App. that lets you get in line before you even get there. It lets you know how long the wait will be and puts you in line without ever leaving your car. So I got my text that my table was ready and we headed right over. The service was great, The food was great and the convenience factor made this a great experience on such a busy time of year. I will definitely be back.

Excellent food! Excellent beer! Excellent bartender, very helpful and personable. The Brgr fries with truffle cheese whiz is really good. The 'Fire in the hole ' burger is really good without being too spicy. As far as beer goes, the Elysian split shot milk Stout is really good, if you like espresso. Dark, rich and very smooth.

If I'm going to a burger place it will be Burgatory, but this is not a bad backup, especially if you have a larger group and want to avoid a potentially super long wait. This location especially is large, has a nice vibe and outdoor seating as well. Good turkey burgers. I've also had their Fire in the Hole burger, which is good. I like it... just don't love it. :)

This is just a review for the bar. I eat here often as it is near my office. Good burgers at a fair price. HOWEVER, do not drink here. I took some visitors here last night for a few drinks and looked at the bill this morning and was not happy that I was charged an additional dollar for ice per drink. We had 4 people who each had 2 drinks. The bourbon was $7/drink but I was charged $8 for ice. Seriously? Go to Off The Hook or Tamari and enjoy a happy hour with discounted drinks and food and free ice!

Pretty good food. Nice portion sizes. Unusual to have a condiment bottle on your table filled with "Big Mac Sauce"

Great burgers. Good craft beer selection. I like to eat at the bar...but the bar service is terrible. A lot of servers but not very good at multitasking. I still go here a lot because I like the food but as soon as I find an alternative I will stop going. I hate being ignored at the bar trying to put in a order.

My family ordered take out from BRGR this past weekend. The meal was very pricey and sub par at best. The Greek salad was INCREDIBLY disappointing! The dressing was extremely thick and had a sweet/sour taste. Nothing at all that you would expect for a Greek salad.

This was actually a lot cooler of a place than I expected. Not too hungover over from Saturday's St. Patty's day festivities and craving a good burger, the girl and I decided to make the trek down 279/79 off the Cranberry exit on a Sunday evening to try a place a few of my friends had mentioned to me called BRGR. The place is in sort of an an odd strip mall. For some reasons restaurants in strip malls seem weird to me, but BRGR is quite easy to skip over if your not looking for it. I would definitely describe the BRGR theme as being "rustic". Lots of dark wood for tables, rustic lanterns and railroad gears and other miscellaneous items hang from the walls and ceilings. It sets off a warm but welcoming vibe perhaps a little bit of an old west/Clint Eastwood vibe. The place has lots of TVs mostly turned to sports and a huge bar with a ton of beers on draft. I can definitely see myself meeting my pals here after work for happy hour or just to chill and catch a game. Our waitress was kind and friendly and always checked on us even though it wasn't too crowded...As you would guess, the menu mostly consists of a dozen or so different burgers, a few side dishes, some "spiked" milkshakes, lots of beer on tap and bottled, some cocktails and whatnot. My girl got the BRGR Burger and I the Bison Burger, both ordered to Medium and they came packed with lots of flavor and juice. I scarfed mine down pretty fast and to be honest, I kind of was craving another burger to try but I didn't want to make a pig out of myself... Anyways, the only disappointment and the reason why I gave it a 4 stars is that if I'm going to pay anywhere from $8 to $15 for a burger I would at least like to get a side of fries or if nothing else maybe some chips to go along with the burger. We had to order a side of fries, though it was big enough to split between the two of us and topped with some sprinkled cheese and damn good on the taste buds with a juicy burger and a cold beer, it just seems kind of stinky to have to pay 5$ to get fries, but I guess that's how they make their money. Our bill for two burgers, a side of fries and a bottled beer was about $34. So don't think its cheap date. I think the cheapest beer offered was $4 a bottle and not knowing if they have a daily/nightly special might end up costing you a bit if you plan to drink a few brews here all night. BRGR is a pretty good joint to try out, I would definitely recommend it at least once if your craving a good juicy burger! Happy eatings my fellow Yelpers! Yours truly, the Shaw...

The service was excellent. She explained the entire menu to us. I ordered a burger which was decent, my husband ordered a hot dog which was amazing and we got pot roast bacon tater tots which was great. There menu has many different options. You can create your own burger and you can add just about anything you want. It's a nice place to go watch the games.

Good atmosphere, service was ok and the burgers and sides were AWESOME. I ordered the USDA Prime and it was as described (apparently they recently, much to my chagrin, switched away from Kobe beef) juicy and delicious. Lots of toppings available and a delicious bun all which make an awesome burger. We also got the chips with crack sauce and the parm and herb fries. The sides really is what made the meal. Bottom line? Obviously good burgers, but pair it with the awesome chips and fries. Perfect pairing. I'll be back.

I stopped by with some girlfriends before a movie, and maybe it's because I live in the city and don't venture out into the suburbs very much, but I was disappointed. I like the concept, I like the name, I just don't think the food is very good. There are many other places to get a delicious burger in this city. I had the fried pickes to start, and they were ok. The breading was too thick, and kept falling off of the pickles. If the breading had been delicious, I wouldn't have minded...but it wasn't delicious. The dipping sauce was fine, but again, nothing to write home about. I had the Average Joe burger for dinner with white cheddar because I was in the mood for just a cheesburger. It was fine. The fries are usually pretty delicious, but on this occasion, they were lukewarm, and the parmesan cheese wasn't sticking to the fries because of this. I like that they put in a BRGR in Cranberry for all the suburban folks, I just wish the food was better.

Now I know why this place always looks packed! My boyfriend and I went during the week at lunch time and the food did not dissapoint. I strongly suggest ordering the C & D eggrolls. Great service too.

This place is trying too hard to be fun. Kind of reminds me of Chotchkie's in "Office Space" without the flair. (taken both ways) I had a burger that was a bit dry and somewhat cool, Perhaps it has be sitting around for a while, maybe not. The service was prompt and cordial. I certainly won't make it a "must" the next time I'm in Cranberry Township,.

Wow! My boyfriend and I came in to BRGR around 11 PM last night to eat late night. Only the bar was open, so we sat at the bar but had to leave immediately. The entire area we sat near smelled like urine. It was awful!!! Either some very unhappy patron decided to let loose o the floor or a disgruntled employee mopped with urine laced water. Either way there was NO WAY we could sit there and eat food and smell that. I couldn't believe no one else smelled it. Maybe the patrons are used to it? The bar itself was dirty too. Won't ever be back. Ugh!!!

Super service.. Manager saved the day. Was there on a very busy Saturday night. I sat at the bar and the bartenders served me quickly. The bar became overrun with people getting drinks while waiting for tables. My burger arrived and was undercooked by 2 levels. I assume I got the wrong burger meant for someone else. I was trying to catch the eye of a bartender when the manager walked by . I asked him to help and he took charge. He whipped out a note pad and wrote down what I wanted, ran it back to the kitchen and brought out the correct food in a few minutes personally. It tasted great, was cooked just right, and the manager won a loyal customer.

I visited BRGR for the first time on a Wednesday night At about 8pm. It was relatively busy for a Wednesday but we were seated right away and greeted very quickly by our server. Our drinks-2 beers- Also came out Quickly. Of note I was disappointed with the draft list as well as the fact the average price of a draft was $7.50. Yes I understand that is about what I'd pay in New York for a draft but in pittsburgh? I settled for a bottle and my partner got a yuengling which is always relatively inexpensive as is. I ordered the shrooms burger- forest mushrooms, carmelized onions, Brie , and mustard aioli- cooked medium. It was perfectly cooked to Medium and the flavors- particularly the Brie-just melted in my mouth. It was an excellent burger! My partner orders the BRGR medium well-dry aged prime beef and pickled red onion , arugula, creamy bleu cheese, and oven roasted tomatoes . He said it was excellent as well and also cooked properly to mid well. We split an order of the fries with truffled cheese whiz on the side. It was definitely enough for two to share. I'm not one for toppings in fries but the truffled cheese whiz was amazing. Our bill for 3 beers, 2 burgers, and fries was about $45 but it would have been the same at burgatory as well. I will make sure to consider BRGR the next time I have a craving for a burger!

Brgr was decent, but not the best burger in the world. Our order came out cold and had to be sent back. The second time was a much better attempt. Pretty good craft beer list.

Came here for dinner with three other people. One ordered the regular burger, one the angus burger, one the mahi-shrimp burger and one the turkey burger. The mahi-shrimp and turkey burgers were the fans with the regular and angus being just ok for the toppings offered. Everyone loved the homemade chips, the tater tots, and the drinks. The s'mores milkshake was to DIE for. One of the best things ever. It was spiked, with chocolate chips and toasted mini marshmallows. Yum.

After a nice welcome, we were treated very poorly by a snobbish waitress. Even though the food was OK, it was not nearly close to being a great burger, especially at that price point. Beers were priced on the high side too. Will not go back.

Pretty solid burger joint which can easily be implied by the name...BRGR. For an out of towner it wasn't the easiest to find but once I got in, the atmosphere was very warm and comfortable! Great bar top and beer selection! I opted for the Bison burger & spicy tater tots! Both were pleasing but not life changing which is not a bad thing by any means! Definitely a cool place but for whatever reason not too many 20 somethings if thats what you are after! Will def recommend to my friends back home. Cheers!

This place makes good burgers, has an awesome atmosphere, interesting milkshakes and mixed drinks. Fried pickles are my favorite. I like the one in the city a little better, but this has a more family-friendly feeling to it. I don't know if it deserves four stars, but I had to offset the reviewer who gave ONE star because he didn't get his vanilla ripple for 2.95 and the people who complain that this VERY reasonably priced food is more expensive than burger king. Burger King doesn't offer anything like this, apples and oranges...expose yourself to more that Burger King. Fireplaces and big comfy leather chairs, big juicy burgers, good fries, all good. I don't love the Kobe burger...I don't know why, but it just doesn't have the great flavor of other Kobe burgers I've had. I suspect that it isnt real Kobe beef, but that is just a suspicion. Anyway, waaaay better than a chain and waaaay better than a nasty TGIFridays or Chilis for about the same price range.

I arrived here at 5:30pm on a Friday. It was busy but not about of control. It had a great energy for a happy hour. There is a great beer selection with a few that I haven't even heard of. I got the shroom burger and it was a perfect medium and it was excellent. I also got a side of fries. The fries were also excellent BUT the side of fries is a basket enough for 2 people. The service was very good for a Friday happy hour and the manager just stopped by the table to check in. Overall it was a great food and great service!!!!

So we decided to give BRGR a try again (and it actually wasn't for the milkshakes). I felt that my mediocre experience the first time could have been the result of growing pains. I understand it can take some time to get a new location up and running. Service was quick enough. We were seated right away by the hostess and our waitress came by quickly. One of the first things I noticed was how loud the restaurant was. It was difficult to hold a conversation with all the noise. Being familiar with the menu, we chose to add parmesan fries to our orders this time with a side of truffle cheese whiz. Not cheap! The fries themselves were an additional $4 plus a buck for the cheese dip. Adding that to a $10 burger seems a bit steep. We both tried different burgers this time - a Double Yoi for me and a Shroom Burger for my wife. As soon as we tried the food I remembered why I left disappointed last time. The fries tasted no different from those you'd get at Burger King. Sure they had sprinkled parmesean cheese on top, but it didn't change the flavor. You can dress up BK fries, but they're still gonna be BK fries. My wife perfectly summarized the flavor of the exquisite truffle cheese whiz when she said it "tastes like feet." Thank goodness our waitress recommended getting on the side rather atop the fries. The burgers themselves were very flavorless. Despite mine having pastrami, thousand island dressing, cole slaw, and a fried egg, it just didn't taste like anything. Quite astonishingly bland, really. I tried a bite of my wife's Shroom burger and it barely tasted any different. Very unfortunate to say the least. The only thing that had any real flavor on my plate was the pickle. This makes us 0 for 4 on the meals we've had here and concludes our adventures to BRGR. For the price you pay, it doesn't even come close to Burgh'ers or Burgatory.

We came in for a little lunch time soiree, a total of nine of us. Not busy at all for 12 noon, but I kinda suspect that Cranberry peeps pick super quick fast food for lunch. We had a table reserved and our server greeted each of us as we all straggled in at different times to get our drink orders. When the gang was all there, she was quick to get our orders. No one opted for a shake, I was disappointed because I wanted to get one! But I didn't want to be the only one! Oh, well. Everyone got burgers. Plus we got a couple orders of fries and onion rings for the table to share. No one was overly adventuresome. We had a lot of "Average Joe's", the basic burger with lettuce, tomato and onion. A "California Lovin'" turkey burger sans the bun. And a braised beef short rib "Button Buster". I ordered well done, mine was cooked perfectly. My burger was so good and the meat was so perfectly seasoned, that I didn't even need to add ketchup. My burger was one of the best burgers I have ever had. One of probably the top three. Ever. Also, everyone love, love, loved the onion rings. Best ever. We were fighting for them. And super yummy fries tossed with parmesan and herbs. The thing that surprised me that most was how quickly we received our order. We could have probably made it back to work within 1 hour. If we wanted to. We didn't want to. Can't wait to go back for my shake!

All around I like this place, I like the whole idea behind it, and I don't mind spending a little more on a fun, quality burger. I hadn't been to either location in awhile so I excited to try out the newer Cranberry location last night. The grilled cheese bites are outstanding, I'm considering just getting those next time!! We also tried the pierogi appetizer and I was very underwhelmed. I mean how can caramelized onions and Angus beef be bland? All in all it's always a good meal at BRGR, but my only complaint is that their online menu is outdated! I had my heart set on trying a burger that is no longer offered. :(

I ate here yesterday for lunch with a large group of people from work. The decor of the restaurant was nice with dark colors and has a large fireplace. It also looks like they could open the garage doors in the summer which would very nice. The space seems like it could hold a lot of people but there was only two other tables during the entirety of our stay which gave it a hollow/open feel. For lunch I decided on having the Bison "Wing" Burger. I ordered the burger medium and it came out more of a medium rare which ended up being ok by me. The bison patty was tasty and most of the toppings on the burger fit nicely. The one that I did not particularly enjoy was the crispy buffalo chicken skin. It had an odd texture for me that did not seem to fit into the rest of the burger. Even with that being said there was still nothing left in my basket at the end. The bottom line for me is that there are definitely better burgers out there but I still enjoyed my food. It would not be my first choice in a restaurant but then again, I would not disagree to going again.

I have changed my diet since the last time I was here. I can successfully order a vegan burger and fries with a few adjustments. If you order the Santa Fe Hippe burger without the creme fraiche and a lettuce wrap, it is still good. The fries need to be ordered plain and you can happily dine here with your omnivore friends.

Got the burger with short rib on it. Melts in your mouth. Bartender was super friendly And conversational. Made good recommendations and small talk. Chips were just ok, wish I got fries. Got a soft s'more shake to go, wasn't nearly as good as burgatory's but all in all a good experience for my first time.

Okay burgers. Chopped side salad of iceberg lettuce. YUK! And pricey. The salad and the price. Burgatory offers awesome side salad at fraction of the price. Burgatory burgers much much much much better.

Top 5 Burger place in Pittsburgh! All locations are well designed. Order one of the BRGR's, a brew, and a side to round out your 2,000 calorie adventure! For the other reviewers: If you didn't order a a beef burger why are you here. The service needs some work otherwise this place is awesome!

What a great place! Nice atmosphere and very cozy; no matter where you sat you felt like you had your own special area. Great bar area with plenty of space and comfortable stools. I had the San Fran Hippie Burger (black bean and corn, cheese, guacamole, tomato and lettuce) and onion rings. The burger was really good with a nice kick (tip:add the Crack Sauce) and was so full of flavor. The onion rings were done right and had a perfect batter; and it didn't fall off the onion! But, the real surprise was the Cup o Joe shake (dark chocolate, whiskey, espresso) - it was pure heaven! Must try a shake. I can't wait to come back!

I've been on a burger kick lately and this place is now at the VERY top of my list for best burger joints! Really amazing quality ingredients, fast friendly staff, nice atmosphere, comfortable chairs, and very reasonably priced for the value. I took some customers out to eat and they recommended this place as their favorite. I will go back here EVERY time I'm in the area. The head chef just won an award, and it is well deserved. Great place, thank you!

The "brgrs" were great! The appetizers were great too! The milkshakes (21+) even better! I give Brgr three stars NOT because the food wasn't great - it was - but because I save the 4 and 5 for more "innovative" restaurants. I expect 4 and 5 stars to wow me; I expect them to combine flavors I would not have expected, or to present familiar flavors in and unfamiliar fashion. BRGR has good, familiar burgers, and is a great place to go when you need a good, dependable burger in the Burgh. It has some room for improvement, but it definitely does not lack in quality. I would like to see some more adventurous menu options before I could give it a four star rating.

It's nice to return to the area where I grew up to see such a great restaurant with updated decor and decent food... despite being in the lower level of the strip mall. I was impressed with the look of the place - the large, inviting bar is surrounded by tables and a huge stone fireplace, which separates the patio from the dining room. I always have difficulty deciding what to order, so I settled on the slider appetizer, which was three generous samples of delicious BRGRs - swiss and mushroom, bacon and cheddar, and blue cheese with arugula. The sliders were as delicious as they were adorable and were perfect with a side of "regular fries" - crispy pieces of heaven sprinkled with fresh parsley and parm. YUM! I will say our waitress was a bit slow, but to her credit, my friends and I spent a good bit of time catching up. One comment I can't resist making - I've seen a few reviews online saying the menu is overpriced... Please, people! Most burgers are around 10$... anything less and you'd be at Burger King. Better yet, if you're looking for stuff to complain about, stay home and let the rest of us enjoy this place. Over all, this was a great lunch! I'm excited to return and can't wait to introduce my carnivore husband to BRGR!

When you walk in BRGR looks a little nicer than I would expect for a burger joint...I know it has more but! A large U shaped bar in the middle and a fireplace that goes out to the patio, too. A patio/porch may be nice in the warmer weather but the view is just parking lot. Was told there are a few new items on the menu but decided to have the Kobe burger. Cooked perfectly and burger was good. The menu does have a few interesting options besides beef. The build your own didn't really interest me...not as interesting as some other places with build your own. The hand crafted shakes seemed interesting but not for lunch. Ordered a side of BRGR Fries that are tossed with parmesan and herbs, yum are the fries good, do not need any Ketchup. Our waiter said that he loves the fries cold, too. Service was very good and very efficient.

This place makes really good burgers, has an awesome atmosphere, interesting milkshakes and mixed drinks. I like the one in the city a little better, but this has a more family-friendly feeling to it. The guy should be filtered for giving this place one star because he didn't get his vanilla ripple for 2.95 and the people who complain that this very reasonably priced food is more expensive than burger king. Burger King doesn't offer anything like this, apples and oranges...clearly these are the reviews of people who have very little exposure to food other than Burger King. Fireplaces and big comfy leather chairs, big juicy burgers, good fries, all good. I don't love the Kobe burger...I don't know why, but it just doesn't have the great flavor of other Kobe burgers I've had. To me its more than just about the food when determining ratings...burgers were good, not the best I have had, but also not the worst. We started with the fried pickles which were delicious. For my main course I had a falafel patty instead of the traditional beef and it was tasty and very filling. My husband had the double yoi and it was also good. We shared a side of fries and they were quite good. Probably my biggest complaint would be the wait service. It was 7:30ish at night, place was busy but not packed. Hostess sat us and it took about 5 minutes for our waiter to approach us. Once he did, he didn't even mention his name, he took our drink order and left not bothering to ask about appetizers. Drinks arrived and he walked away....Really?! It only took him another 7 minutes to come back to get our order. This was irritating to me.

This place has gotten rave reviews by my 2 coworkers, and I was lucky enough to experience eating here with all of them on a Monday afternoon. The reviews that they had given me were pretty spot on. The burger that I ordered didn't' disappoint, although I wished I would have ordered an actual meat vs. turkey burger (yes I was the one in Julie D. review with the California Burger minus the bun). I was pleased with the temperature of it, and the toppings were an added bonus. Anything that has guacamole that accompanies it is a win for me! We also ordered a few baskets of onion rings and fries to share. I would have to say the onion rings were my fave over the fries. I would have loved to try one of their adult milkshakes, but will save that for my next trip back.

After reading some of the horrible reviews here we almost decided not to go but we are very glad we did. The service was great, the atmosphere excellent but best of all the food was spectacular! I had a custom burger with kobe beef along with a cuppa joe shake. My wife had the mushroom burger. Seating was fast and the portions were perfect. Looking at some of the complaints from others about small portions - if you're looking for bigger portions than what they served you must be as big as a cow yourself!

I'm a big fan of the East Liberty location, and I think it's even BETTER in Cranberry. A note about the burgers: I'm amazed more places don't use challah bread. For me it's perfect. It soaks up some grease, but I think the outer "shell" of it helps hold everything together well. I've had the Fire in the Hole, the Ahi Tuna, the Locavore, and the Button Buster, over the last 9 months, between both locations. I can't even begin to pick a favorite. Now, what puts this ahead of the original location is the appetizers. I think they're taken from the Spoon menu (their main restaurant in 'Sliberty), and they are amazing little gourmet flavors. We had (and LOVED) the Bahn Mi meatballs and the Bacon and Eggs (which is really pork belly, which I'm not sure is *technically* bacon, but was great). Holy crap! There are not a ton of suburban places that have this level of craft and refinement, especially in a totally relaxed setting. Pretty good beer selection, the sides of fries and o-rings are big enough to share, the service was great - a friendly, chatty hostess, very attentive waitress. Will be back soon!

Burgers
